Roquefixade is a commune in the eastern Cathar Pyrenees. Historically and culturally, it's part of the Pays d'Olmes, the site of the Cathar tragedy, with its extremely diverse landscapes.
The castle: perched atop an impressive cliff, Roquefixade castle has faced Montségur since the 11th century. The view embraces the Arize, Trois Seigneurs and Saint-Barthélemy massifs.
